i’m henry adams, a community-college student completing an associate degree and transfer prerequisites. rit’s human-centered computing bs is a future transfer target, not a current affiliation.

the work here is independent personal project work, not employer or client work. i choose the goals and final direction. ai tools contribute substantially to implementation and review; i decide what to publish and take responsibility for the result.

this site uses quiet, a personal template project i released under the mit license.

i run most decisions through three questions, in order — does it work, does it remove friction, does it create a meaningful experience. function first, aesthetics earned. the corollary i have to keep relearning is ship > optimize: a finished thing that exists beats a perfect thing that doesn’t.

what i care about, roughly: software that works quietly, environments designed on purpose, the psychology underneath good interfaces, and craft you only notice when it’s missing.
